Louis Leterrier`s Childhood
Louis Leterrier was the son of François Leterrier, a director and Catherine Leterrier, a costume designer. He is the nephew of Laurent Fabius who is a politician and antiquarian François Fabius. His mother was so much interested and fascinated by art and designing and he was guided artistically by his mother since his early age.
At the beginning of his career, Leterrier was a
drummer for a music group. Then he started to experiment short films. He got some training in advertising and
publicity before completely entering into the field of movie. Then at the age
of 18, he left France and move to the Tisch School of the Arts at New York
University.

After he finished all his study and training's, he returned to France. There, he worked with Luc Besson on the production of commercials for Club Internet and L'Oréal. He also worked with Alain Chabat asthe second assistant director, on the production of Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre.
In 2002, Louis Leterrier directed The Transporter, the most successful action movie. He was mostly popularized as an action director. Later, he directed Jet Li in Unleashed, his solo debut feature, a full-length martial arts film in 2004. With a lot of success in Transporter, he directed the movie, Transporter 2 in 2005. His movie Unleashed 2005 was also a popular movie.
Leterrier directed American film, The Incredible Hulk in 2008. Then in 2010, he directed the next movie, Clash of the Titans. In 2012 he produced Wrath of the Titans. The movie, Now You See Me was directed by him in 2013. In 2016 he directed comedy film The Brothers Grimsby. He also produces Now You See Me 2 and Ares in 2016.
Leterrier directed the TV episodes, first season of The
Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance for Netflix, a prequel series to The
Dark Crystal in 2019. He also directed Fast X, the tenth installment of
the Fast & Furious franchise, replacing series director Justin Lin.
